That was Simi with his slack defence. Unfortunately he's not a FG footballer

He's 18 and there is no structure for him to bring that to the table
Being brave and physically handling this level is about all i need from him at this stage

54th min Sharks 40/20. Still can’t believe the awful set at the other end. Savage ball watching.

TRY SHARKS to Nicho Hynes. Terrible goal line defence from Sasagi. Hynes converts his own try.

Sharks 30-0

You're really expecting a glorified reserve grade team to compete with a team who's 5-1?

I haven't seen anything in attack that suggests he will be a top tier FB or even better than CNK

It's a training gallop for the sharks, very bad line defence, horrible any other words can't describe it, must our injuries, God we miss Rapana energy

If the first Sharks game was embarrassing this is certainly equal to it. We've completely lost our way. Levi, Starling are Canberra Raiders Cup level players. We could realistically get the spoon if this is what we dish up for the next 12 weeks.

I couldn’t give a **** about losing the game. I had zero expectations and our spine has about 20 games of experience. I also fully understand and expect we are going to slide down the table over the remainder of the season.

But being inexperienced doesn’t explain or excuse paper thin defence and the same putrid non-existent attacking structure we have seen for 10 years.

Sharks have done pretty much nothing special and will rack up 50 on us here.

I'm thinking next week we see Cotric and Hoppa in over Schiller and Savage
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Got nothing to do with that.

Today we have been useless in attack and our defence has been non existent

We don't even look like scoring this week

I've taken all that into consideration. Just saying, a guy who is at a natural disadvantage with limited physical attributes, in a comp where you're up against the athleticism and skill of Walsh, Ponga, Trobjevic, Tedesco et al, you need to have A LOT up your sleeve (think Gutherson), lest you want to find yourself in the bottom 2-3 players in the position.

I have a feeling we will be saying this a lot

I said last week they we could get the spoon and nothing in this performance indicates otherwise. Our spine is either too young or not very good and we don’t have the quality of players around that spine to overcome that.
