It’s sad that I’m not confident of a win even against the likes of Bulldogs/Titans/Tigers/Dragons these days.
Ata Mariota’s #1 fan. Bless his cotton socks.

Season over?

Anyway, with due respect you've had approximately 25 years to get used to it. No use blaming the boys.

Yeah, and it’s not the coach’s fault either. He hasn’t had enough time to build his roster yet

To be fair he did build a roster that made us a top 4 team briefly. However his tenure has been longer than most players careers. :)

How Canberra Raiders star Luke Davico drank six schooners and was on the bench for the 1994 grand final

Canberra’s Luke Davico was sitting in bay 41 at the old Sydney Football Stadium having just downed six plastic cups of Tooheys New. He could not have imagined that inside an hour he would be standing side-by-side with Canberra superstars, singing the Australian national anthem in front of millions of television viewers and 42,000 fans before the 1994 NSWRL grand final.

“At halftime in reserve grade, I ambled into the dugout because ‘Sheensy’ said we could. But by then, I’d had six schooners in those plastic cups. I was a Tooheys New drinker. I’d just turned 21. We sat behind Tim and he turned around while watching reserve grade and said: ‘Statue, you’re in the official program, get your gear on’. I went and got changed, smelling like a brewery. They gave my jumper number 47.

Great story, the whole thing. He’d been told he wasn’t required, as Sheens had decided to include Paul Osbourne. He had gone out the night before with Mark Corvo… woke up with hangovers. Then Corvo had to make two trips to the car miles from the stadium to get Davico’s boots and mouthguard.

Was pretty disappointed in how Corey Horse started the year. I'm playing him in reserves for a couple of weeks. Saulo in if he's available. Splitting up Paps and Taps too (even if the numbers stay the same).

Need to use these 2 weeks to get the team used to Woolford in the team.
Hoppa out of it as well.
2 do not deserve to play first grade. Hopefully Raps is back.
Cotric played well and should hold his spot.

The fullback spot will be really interesting.

Based on Sticky's comments Rapa will definitely be ready, but I thought based on his comments on resting Chevy that he was fully intending to bring him back as fullback, but with Cotric being outstanding last night, it leaves a real headache.

1. Chevy
2. Rapana
5. Savage

Or

1. Rapana
2. Cotric
5. Savage

???

Cotric and Savage deserve their spots and Rapana adds a lot to the team.

I’d have Chevy back in NSW Cup continuing to develop and he’s next in line when needed in the backline. Even if that means putting Rapana on the wing.

To me it did not sound like he was resting for first grade. More resting him after playing first grade. Hope I am wrong but I can’t see him back in for a while.

Guler and Smithies both charged. free to play after getting fines.

Morgan Smithies and Emre Guler charged by MRC, but facing fines, not suspensions

Raiders duo Morgan Smithies (crusher tackle) and Emre Guler (careless high tackle) are also facing fines for incidents arising from Canberra's 26-24 win at Brookvale Oval.

Yeah, in the presser last night he said Rapana even wanted to play this week, but he said he didn't have the miles under his legs. I've never seen someone like Rapa heal so quickly, he's put together with duct tape but he's a real marvel.

Sticky's comments re. Chevy he didn't say definitively that he would be back in first grade after a rest but it's just the impression I got. We will see I guess.

Chevy back to cup would be my go. Without Fog there is a need for some experience in that spine.

There's a very good chance Chevy gets another crack at FG with a Rapana injury or suspension in a month or two anyway, given age and playing style.

We need to really keep our cool this game.
Reed Mahoney has been niggling others and getting them to react big time
Throw in Salmon playing against a Ricky coached team wanting to niggle too this could get outcof hand very quickly.
