Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

I bought a Raiders 2014 away jersey over the phone at Peter Wynns score. It cost $50 so I thought what a bargain. It was Sunday May 3, the day we played the Rabbits in Cairns. I spoke to the man himself and I've dealt with him on plenty of occasions.

He told me he'd post it to my home on Monday morning (4th). Anyway it hasn't arrived. I've rang Peter Wynn and Australia Post. The post office have told me it was delivered and signed for by a Mr G ONeill on Tuesday 5th to my home address. There's no G ONeill at my home.

Aus post are investigating. I've checked the local phone book for this shady ONeill character but I've come up empty so far. The courier who delivered my parcel to this ONeill fraudster can't be that hard to track down surely.

Worse case scenario = Aus post reimburse me $50 + ph
Best case scenario = I find out where G ONeill lives, and get my jersey.

I had a dream he answered his door wearing it the other night.... :x

Huh?
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

People who wave to drivers at pedestrian crossings. I'm not stopping out of the kindness of my heart, I'm doing it because I'm legally obliged to. If I had my way I would just keep driving. So just cross the damn road!

I'm with Fui

There is a **** ton of idiots out there who stop at a crossing waiting for you to stop and wave them through. They have legal right of way, if they'd just cross the damn road straight away they'd be over the other side before you even get near the crossing and everyone would get on with their day. Instead they stand and wait, you stop, wave them through and finally they plunk the courage to cross a **** road

**** them, **** them all to hell

Nah I do that, then for a thrill a flash people when there's no cops around. That one works best on that road between Goulburn and the Kings Hwy intersection

Sounds like not stopping at pedestrian crossings is a Qld thing. Makes sense, those striped lines can be complicated
