There's some fantastic stroke play in this men's doubles final. That Kokkinakis backhand is technically perfect.

For years I've held a significant amount of power over our Ash. Every single time a tune in she loses. She could be up 6 - 0, 5 - 0 (40 - love) and if I tune in... she loses. It's happened too often for it to just be a coincidence. So tonight as soon as Collins broke her serve, early in that second set I turned it off. I'm sure she noted it in her post match press conference.
When the nominations come up for 2023 Australian of the year it will be a crime if your contributions are not acknowledged.
That's a little over the top for somebody as humble as me Zim. Maybe just an OAM on this occasion but if our form continues then we could certainly come into contention for the big one. I know it's your typical sporting cliche but I think we just need to focus on 1 tournament at a time ... and let's not forget the incredible contribution that my doubles partner (gangers) has made. I cannot take all the credit. If we can keep this form up, the French open, Wimbledon and the cherry on top, the US open ... we'll work hard ... together ... I think we're a real chance at the 'grand slam'.

How can a team that will achieve so much be so humble? The next Golden Record covers should just be etched with your likenesses and a Gangers haiku  .

Great win by the K's. Just too much class. Hopefully Kokkinakis can stay injury free this year.

Geez Medvedev comes across as a quality guy. Maybe angling towards an acting career - would make a great Bond villain.

He’s really making an effort to endear himself to the Australia community, yelling at ball kids is a great start.

Great final. Great to see Rafa get it after so many close ones over the years since his last AO win 13 years ago.

Medvedev is a sook.

Carrying on like a pork chop in front of Aussie fans, what did he think was going to happen ?

Crying about how many tennis balls each kid was holding…cmon !!!!!

Medvedev is making sure there’s a spare villain should Novak be unable to play on.

i might have posted this before, but for me Krygios is the most interesting and relatable sports star i've seen

He could be the best in the world but he cant be ****. But he's still good enough to beat anyone on his day... is it his day? **** around and find out. He might lose to qualifer in round 1, and throw his toys out of the pram or he might just go and win a major... we'll play it by ear.

You can see his journey in so many athletes but they arent as honest and open as he is. Players who just lacked that next level competitive spirit and desire. But they're good enough to coast on by and be someone, and yeah **** he might win a major. He's a total and utter ****, and these domestic violenece charges can not and should not be dimissed.

But purely as an athlete on feild, such a talent, insanely fun tennis player and very entertaining.

Heard John McEnroe the other day say he hates calling his matches. He said he watches Nick play, and think his behaviour isn’t necessary and bratish, which takes him back to how he played.

Nick brings about a bit of self-realisation in Johnny Mac.

I’m tipping Nick to win. He steps up for the big ones, and I think he has a good record against Novak
Feel free to call me RickyRicky StickStick if you like. I will also accept Super Fui, King Brad, Kid Dynamite, Chocolate-Thunda... or Brad.

In the end, Tennis was the winner.
By Tennis I mean the sport, not Tennys Sandgren.

EDIT - the old timer is a little sensitive and perhaps has lots of time on his hands - so I was a little distracted. Good match but Krygios just couldn't get past the mental strength of Djoker. There's a reason he's won 21 grand slams. No denying Nick's talent though.

Just watched Sinner cruise through his first round on Rod Laver.
Hoping to get to the outside courts later to watch Kubler. Hijikata tomorrow, he's a real entertaining battler.
