Kinsleys steak house. Pricey but excellent.
Cheers mate,I'll check it out. Our last night in Vegas I had the best steakive ever had, as well as the best service, in a place alled Hug's Cellar. I actually tipped them 50 bucks I was that impressed. It was simply amazing.
That's setting the bar Hugh. Maybe you should go to some dive and have a charcoaled cheap cut served in a dirty ashtray. At least then your expectations will be met.
If you go to Kinsleys, get the soft shell crab as a side. Unfrickingbelievable.

Oh, sorry guys. It was excellent food. The soft shell crab was just brilliant.
Yesterday on my quest for the ultimate steak in Canberra I headed off towards King O'Malleys in the city because they apparently do good food. Unfortunately I stopped in at the Uni Bar for a quick roadie and then PJ O'Rilleys for a couple of pints of kilkenny and never made it.
Ottoman @ Barton.
Turkish food with fine dining twist. Had the degustation menu and didnt eat anything i didnt absolutely love, the prawns in pommegrante and saffron sauce were the highlight of the meal, as well as the lindt cake for dessert, spatchcock was also really interesting.
Really good sized portions and were smart enough not to lean so heavily on traditional turkish deserts, they frenched it up a bit on desert. The restaurant itself was really well spaced out, felt like it had a great vibe but you werent crammed in so you felt you some privacy. Nice gardens in and around the place. Well priced, probably one of the top 5 ive been to in canberra i think.
Absolutely fantastic, highly recommend it.
Gee Canberra has some great restaurants, hands down my favourite thing about the place.

You really have ponced it up from ten or so years ago, haven't you. From the " no pineapple on the hamburger with the lot and min-chips with chicken salt, please Con"; to the the "prawns in pommegrante and saffron sauce, please Jeeves" is a true miracle turn-around.

Who would ever have pineapple on a burger?
Con does good work, but he needs to get that pineapple off his hamburgers
But yes, my wife is pretty awesome. She probably deserves most of the credit.

Abbott is only into overturning laws.
This however will be one of my main platforms when I run for senate.
