Jarrod Mullen is out for up to 4 months.

Wolfman has been cleared of serious injury but is in doubt to start the year.

Player Positions

This year new positions will be added to each player as the season progresses, this will happen if a player plays 3 weeks in a row in a new position that he don't already have.

For example - Campo is a 5/8, if he plays Halfback for the first 3 rounds - HB will then be added to his positions, he will then become a Five-Eighth/Halfback. Jacko the same - he is a Centre/Winger, if he plays 5/8 the first 3 rounds, 5/8 will then be added.

It will be very handy in the long run having the extra positions added on certain players during the year.

Rolling Lockouts

When enabled (configurable by League Admins), coaches will be able to continue to pick players up until they take the field in their respective games.

In previous years we have had to have our teams picked by Friday at 6pm or Thursday for the first month. Now with the new Rolling Lockouts it means your players now lock as each game starts :thumbsup

So on Thursday night when we get under way, if you have any Roosters or Rabbitohs players they will lock as the game starts - the live game that is , not channel stains delayed crap  I'm not sure when it starts 7 in NSW and 6 in Qld I guess.

This will be the case for each game over the weekend, if you have a player or players in doubt to play it will give you a chance to make a late change to your team, or you just might change your mind on a certain player and you can replace him over the weekend if you have someone else who hasn't already played.

By Sunday arve or Monday night if you have someone ruled out, you might not have anyone to replace him with but its the same for everyone, I think its a great addition to the comp this year.

If they already have for example backrow and centre position status you should be able to choose them in those positions

Terriers Team Announcement
Image

The Terriers are pleased to announce their opening round squad to take on the Untouchables. Injuries have forced a last-minute back-line reshuffle, with centre Josh Morris set to take on fullback duties, whilst young-gun Dylan Walker covers his place.

Despite the disruption, coach Matt Toviii is still adamant that the squad selected will be able to send a message (of some sort) to the other teams.

The squad is as follows:

1. Josh Morris
2. David Simmons
3. Dylan Walker
4. Kane Linnett
5. Mitch Brown
6. Josh Reynolds
7. Shaun Johnson (k)
8. Robbie Rochow
9. Jake Friend
10. James Graham
11. Boyd Corder
12. Gavin Cooper
13. Simon Mannering

14. Michael Ennis
15. Joel Riethmuller
16. James Tedesco
17. Gareth Widdop

The Easybeats Round 1 Team Announcement

Image

It is with excitement and a slight case of nerve induced diarrhea that Coach Lucy presents the 2014 Round 1 Team.

Having discussed all the options with assistant coaches billyt McPloderson and Matt O'Matchup we have determined our strongest outfit to take on The Kambah Karnivores.

"We have done our research on the Karnivores and we know that being from Kambah they are going to be a tough bunch. We spent a bit of time practicing the wrestle, but I've told the boys that as long as they don't wear their thongs and Acca Dacca singlets on the field, they will hopefully not bite. We have also changed our set play calls to not just be saying the words, but to spell the words out. We know that way they won't have any idea what we are saying" said Coach Lucy.

First time captain, Sam Tompkins said something following Coach Lucy's comments but our interpreter is still attempting to decipher it, more on that later.

The squad is as follows:

1. Sam Tompkins
2. Edrick Lee
3. Michael Jennings
4. Blake Ayshford
5. Daniel Tupou
6. Kieran Foran
7. Mitchell Pearce
8. Aaron Woods
9. Cameron Smith (k)
10. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves
11. Nate Myles
12. Greg Bird
13. Glenn Stewart

14. Mitchell Aubusson
15. Jamie Buhrer
16. Jamie Soward
17. Billy Slater

You can check the scores for all games at the home page, it has Round 1 games - under Scores.

Click on a game and it opens a dropbox of the team lineups and scores.

Yeah.. So.. When your team is heavy on the Roosters side of life and they pull out a performance like that, you end up on 8.

How JWH and Pearce failed to even get on the scoreboard amazes me? What were they doing?

Squad Performance Page

To check how your players have scored each week, you can check it out at the Squad Performance Page.

Its at the Coaches Box - The 5 icons near on the left of your team lineup - Squad Performance is the first icon, you select it and it opens up. It shows player tackles, hit ups, line breaks, goals, work horse ect....

It shows your whole 25 man squad stats, but for the players you have selected for round 1 it has the positions next to them, you will know who you picked this week and see their stats.

Who ever has Todd Carney he has been ruled out. You can make a change and bring in another player with the rolling lockout.
