Just remember that beside the points system, the biggest difference to Supercoach is that this is a draft based comp, with no players allocated any dollar values-everyone is equal.
As with draft comps, only one person from any one comp can own one player.
That is what makes it such a good platform.
Re: 2019 NRL CEO Comp
So how do you determine who picks first? On the website is there a more detailed description of the points system, and secondly any data from previous years?summitone77 wrote:Awesome. Great to have you in!gergreg wrote:Thank you, sounds interesting count me in.

There is a bit of info on this page: http://www.nrlceo.com/
The season guide was released yesterday. It is $10 and has previous stats from the previous year, as well as a preview for this year. It comes with an excel sheet with all those stats. It is an essential guide to anyone wanting to do well on this.
Otherwise, you can search for players/positions on the site and all stats from previous years come up in their profile.

Re: 2019 NRL CEO Comp
If you can’t find what you need on there, I have a pdf at work I wrote up for friends who are starting up this year. I can get a copy of that uploaded here for you tomorrow if you want. It is a breakdown of the points system other general instructions.
Re: 2019 NRL CEO Comp
We've given this one a plug on The GH's other social media. Anyone who wants to set up additional comps... we'll plug those too, including a Tipping Comp. Feel free to use The Greenhouse label in setting up any fantasy league or tipping comps... but unfortunately, we can't offer any prizes this year.
We will give them a global feature on TheGH.com.au for a while as well.

Awesome. Thanks heaps for that.
Re: 2019 NRL CEO Comp
I was wondering where the thread went for a second there.
We have 11 teams, so there is still 1 spot left in the first comp.

Here are a few things I could use some help with:
How do comps usually handle Trade vetoes and trade deadlines?
I was going to limit keepers to 6, not sure if you have a recommendation for a good number?
Finally what's the "Marquerade" icon next to a team do?

The trade side of things I will look further into it for you, as I really have not had a lot to do with trades over my time...I am usually accepting or declining the trade instead of creating one. We never seem to use trades in my personal comps so I have never had to really look at it as the comp owner. But I will get back to you on this one.
6 is the number that they generally use for keeper leagues. Some also add a 7th, but as a young player that is 22 or under. It is also the number used for supporter leagues, were you get to pick 6 players for your specific team before the draft starts. So I think 6 is the perfect number.
Masquerade is only there for you as the owner of the comp. It allows you to go into anyone’s else team and make changes for them, just in case there are any issues with that person accessing.

Re: 2019 NRL CEO Comp
Great, we have a full competition!
I have updated the first post with the basic rules, the teams and owners on here and some policies for the competition. If you are using a different name on the site, let me know your team name and I will update the table.
For trades, I have basically allowed them unless someone raises an issue on here, in which case there will be a vote. I'm also checking with Nacho on the prizes, I think it might be better to avoid cash since it can make people go a bit crazy.
I tried to cover enough to avoid any gray area during the season but please go over them and let me know if you have any questions.

Nacho and I have been discussing via PM, I think he was thinking The Tipping Comp, but we'll work out where the $500 prize money might best be directed.nacho wrote: ↑January 28, 2019, 8:50 pmI'd like to offer a $500 prize on behalf of thegh.com.augreeneyed wrote: ↑January 28, 2019, 9:02 am We've given this one a plug on The GH's other social media. It's really generous of Nacho, so thank you! He's really been helping the site in a major way, after he and zim invested a lot of their time on the recent update of the site.

Re: 2019 NRL CEO Comp
Sorry all but after discussing it with the powers that be we agreed not to have a financial prize for this competition as the money can be best used elsewhere and there is a mix of experienced and novice players so it may create some dramas. Hope nobody is too disappointed or already spent their winnings, we can look at a prize pool next year once the group is more experienced.
There will however be a shiny trophy for the pool room plus the great honour of being the GH NRL CEO Champion for a year.

Sounds good.
We don’t need any prize money. Glory is all we need.
Thanks for even discussing the possibility of prize money

Great to see how passionate you all are about this competition! Being a fellow Raiders fan I am happy to upgrade this competition to a paid league for free.
I've done that for you now. You will now be able to create a lot more customisations such as custom draft order, custom scoring, use of waiver wire, captains worth double points, custom kicker point limit, rolling lock outs and custom reports to download.
Sherriff, can you send me the questions on Messenger as I don't logon here much.

Since Ferrett kindly upgraded us to a custom comp are there any custom options people would like to have for the comp?

Re: 2019 NRL CEO Comp
I read through the basic info that Ed posted, thanks for getting me a little up to speed. Maybe I missed it but do your bench/reserves get allocated the same points structure? When I played Supercoach or whatever it was bench players earned 50% of starting players.
