I’ve never seen one minute of Dr Who... is that odd for a bloke in his late 30s?

The biggest event in Lime Lounge history is here!
Viewed by dozens of fans from around the world ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Granf Final Day. The two combatants facing off today have gone through weeks of hell and nervous waiting as votes were counted, roots were squared, and ones were carried. All that effort has brought us to today.

But first, lets look at the challengers, and take a look back at the roads they took to get here
1. Walter White

Walter White will go down in this tournament as the killer of comedic characters. His road to the final has seen;
80/20 win over Eleanor Shellstrop
73/16 win over 99
63/37 win over Barney Stinson
64/36 win over the People's Favourite Crazy Joe Divola
A narrow 56/44 win over Dr Who.

Will his run continue? Its up to you to decide

2. Homer Simpson

Homer came in as a late inclusion. Nominated by yours truly to top up the numbers, he has come from the brink of almost not being included, all the way to the Grand Final. His road has seen
88/12 win over Thomas Magnum
91/9 win over Thomas Shelby
68/32 win over BA Barrachus
83/17 win over Skippy
89/11 win over Fred Flintstone in the Animation Sensation

It's interesting to see the closest Homer came to being eliminated was against BA Barrachus.

So there you have it, who will be crowned champion? Well, that's up to you to decided. The final link is here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/68SRMBQ and you have until the end of Friday to cast your vote

This is, the Grand Final

I’m the same. I don’t think it’s all that odd... seems like it is popular in the UK and has a cult following elsewhere. The latest doctor who (if I’m up-to-date) is a bit of a fox...

I'm looking over the road to the final. It's hard to tell who had the Tougher Draw. At one point, Walter White was 50/50 when against Barney Stinson. I think overall Homer had the tougher draw, but he still picked people off easily. He was never really in doubt of losing to anyone

Yeah the GF was the lowest of the comp, with 9 votes.

I’ll give it a rest now the season has commenced again. Next tournament will see a few changes, mainly seeding the characters who receive the most noms, and doing a proper tournament tree.

I think I’ll stop with the music one. TV had a significantly larger participation rate than music, which is fair enough, music is harder to put a criteria on.

I definitely think 2 days to vote made for a better tournament. Last time I allowed a week to vote, and that dragged out the tournament a bit.

Interesting to draw comparisons between Triple M currently running their GOAT countdown and the GH comp. With the Top 5 still to be revealed there are quite a few common ones. Different format but here's the final 16 from the GH comp.

AC/DC
Led Zeppelin
Billy Joel
David Bowie
James Brown
Pink Floyd
The Police
Rolling Stones
Jimi Hendrix
Foo Fighters
INXS
Elton John
Queen
White Stripes
Beatles
Red Hot Chilli Peppers

This is the current

1.???
2.???
3.???
4.???
5.???
6. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN
7.DAVID BOWIE
8.THE BEATLES
9.PINK FLOYD
10.ROLLING STONES
11.BON JOVI
12.U2
13.GUNS N ROSES
14.COLD CHISEL
15.NIRVANA
16.JIMMY BARNES
17.ELTON JOHN
18.GREEN DAY
19.MIDNIGHT OIL
20.INXS

I'll predict the top 5 will include ACDC, Zeppelin, Queen and the Foos. Not sure who the other one will be. Keep in mind the different demographics voting. Triple M is primarily middle aged bogan while the GH is middle aged public servant. With that in mind I'm tipping ACDC to be no1.
