Re: Tokyo Olympics
Rugby UNION players did that? I hope to god they at least upheld the sanctity and integrity of the ARU by wearing their best boat shoes, dress shorts and ralph lauren polo shirts while doing all this.Schifty wrote: ↑August 5, 2021, 7:15 pm New details emerge over ‘excessively drunk’ Aussie Olympians’ wild flight home
Australia is holding fire on disciplining a group of drunk athletes who misbehaved on a return flight from the Tokyo Olympics. Australia’s rugby sevens and soccer players were the ringleaders in the unruly flight which left Tokyo last Thursday night, arriving in Sydney the following morning.
At least one drunk footballer vomited in the plane’s toilet, which couldn’t be used again during the 10-hour flight.

Looks like the two sides had a drinking comp to compensate for their on field failures.
I lament frequently. Even recently I've been played 'Top 100 worst decisions ever' by my subconscious each night. I have to admit no hockey shenanigans are in there though...
Re: Tokyo Olympics
Guess the women's beach volleyball team is walking home too.

So they should, they knew the deal

Harry Garside up now in the boxing semi. Up against Cuban 2 time world champion. Might be joining the walkers.

Re: Tokyo Olympics
Cruz too good for Garside. Gutsy effort Harry. Unfortunately no seat on the plane for you.

Re: Tokyo Olympics
Garside, kept his hands very low for the first 2 rounds but the Cuban was just too fast with his hands. Garside has good movement though. In the third he kept his hands up but the Cuban was more accurate and Garside was tagged often. Brave display but simply out boxed by a champion who has had almost 3 times as many contests. Bronze medal at the Olympics for Harry Garside.

I'm really not sure about climbing up walls with little bits of plastic protruding being an Olympic sport.

Women’s marathon just completed and it was Kenya, Kenya, USA for the medals.
Pardon my ignorance but the 3 Aussie women finished 10th, 22nd and 26th..
I don’t know their names, doesn’t matter..all 3 are walking home.
