Won't go on the tally till Sunday, technically.

But yes 10 before the athletics is massive

Anything in double figures for gold is a great performance from Australia.

Matildas get up 4-3 in the QF in extra time. Never doubted them.

I was about to send the Opals to the mines in Coober Pedy, but that was a tough loss.

GOLD and BRONZE! McKeown gold, Seebohm bronze in the 200m back. 7 gold in the pool. Eight gold was the most in the pool way back in 1956. Equals Athens.

BRONZE for Australia in the mixed meley relay. That's an amazing event.

Emma McKeon got an Olympic record in the 50m free semi final... qualifies first for the final, obviously... then turned around and swam the relay!

So tomorrow is the final day of the swimming... and McKeon a real chance of gold in the 50m free. And Australia is in the men's and women's 4x100m, the women a real chance of a medal. If they can get one gold medal, that's the equal best ever... and two makes it the best ever.

This mixed relay has made me realise there should be more mixed events at the olympics generally.

I had a think about it, and in the swimming it really has to be medley race
Anything else and the fun and choas of it goes out, because very team just goes FFMM in terms of order and that's just a standard relay race then... what made this fun was the tactics and the wild swings. You have to build a team around your countries strengths

But yeah in general, more of it would be amazing. That race was wonderful... when Dressel was hunting down the girls, it was terrifying

Did I read it wrong or was there one heat where someone the guy was given a red card despite the fact he didn't break as fast as the guy who was given a second chance?

That's correct. And, now because of that he has to walk home

That freestyle bmx earlier was pretty cool, Aussie in the top spot.

Have we gotten better at everything or has the rest of the world dropped?

Surprised he still competes under that name. I expected him to be listed as Three-Eyed Raven.

It’s ok if he doesn’t place. The Summer Olympics will be over, but then Winter is coming.

Man, now I’m all sad about how bad GOT was again. Thanks GE!

I never saw the final season so don't know what all the fuss was about. Surely couldn't have been that bad?

Yes, completely blacking your memory of the final season and convincing yourself you never saw it. This is the way!

Nah... I think I saw up to when the little Stark girl goes off to those weirdos on some island... in a temple and learns about magic or something something and kills that paedophile dude. Maybe season 5 or 6. I think the crafty little dude was there too? This was when I was recovering from surgery so can't remember it very well.
