They’ve been getting them for two years. Some of them downright dreadful. Penrith offside all night, plus they lift players off the ground all night… call of held but they go on with it and no action. The Rabbitohs fans could rightly feel miffed. Very unfortunate result.

Panthers had everything go their way tonight and fell in by missed conversion. Credit for taking the opportunity handed them.

In Vlandysball 2021 Penrith one of the best attacking teams in the comp play four finals games for a grand total of 42 points combined and win the comp. Bizzare

I’ve just had a call from Vlandys. He saw the ending and has decided that next year a field goal that bounces over the cross bar will be 3 points. Would have been a trick shot win for the bunnies!

Good team that Panthers team but not sure this is the start of any sort of dynasty. I think more likely they drop away over the next couple of years.

It is bizzare until you really think about the games and how they were officated. This was not a V'Landysball finals series
The game was officately completely different this past 4 weeks.

I'll break it down for you.

In the 2019 GF we had every call go against us

In this years GF every call went the way of Penrith

Good on them to have bounced back and won this year. But it is painful having watched them do it when we couldn't.
We will be lucky to make a GF again before 2030 considering our trajectory.

Let's never speak of Timmy the trumpet ever again
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

The teams that push the boundaries the most have been winning for the last 15 years, starting in 06. It’s what Queensland understood half a dozen years before the Blues did. It fueled the Storm and the Roosters, and now Penrith too. Challenge the refs to penalise you for Bull line speed. Outside of a once-in-a-while regular season crackdown, the refs are never up for it. That’s the game. Learn to win the game you play.

And yes, everything went the way of the Panthers.

And they still won on an intercept.

The administration of the game… in terms of rule changes and interpretations within a single season… has been an absolute debacle.

Fair point. However it's still very low scoring for four games of football . I haven't bothered looking it up but I reckon you wouldn't find too many teams play 4 finals games and win the comp scoring 42 points. Probably wouldn't be many playing 3 finals games and only scoring that many

They played off side the entire finals series and slowed the ruck more than any team in living memory.
