It is bizzare until you really think about the games and how they were officated. This was not a V'Landysball finals series
The game was officately completely different this past 4 weeks.

What a weird season
Fair point. However it's still very low scoring for four games of football . I haven't bothered looking it up but I reckon you wouldn't find too many teams play 4 finals games and win the comp scoring 42 points. Probably wouldn't be many playing 3 finals games and only scoring that many
They played off side the entire finals series and slowed the ruck more than any team in living memory.
But you have to be happy for those exuberant young men though hey GE
I think they’re mug lairs. The way Cleary mouthed off at Walker after the intercept a case in point. They’re not a great mob, and they’ve taken their lead from their coach.

I kind of feel for her - I imagine you’d maybe want to spend some time with the man you just said yes to.

“Will you marry me?”

“Yes”

“Sweet as, I’ll catch you in a few weeks or so hey babe”
And before I go, I’ll just wipe my blood off your face.
Look if it wasn’t same level as Benny Ellias and his mother but yeah possibly not the most romantic of moments, unless you’re into that stuff I guess.

Agree. I think it means more to the players who’ve worked their way from juniors through a club to a premiership win.

Greatest RL catchment area in the world.
I played in that area for 12 years and if not for reoccuring knee injuries and a crippling lack of talent, i could have been out there tonight.

Ricky Stuart had the biggest sledging game in the history of rugby league and we loved him for it. Walker did zero after the intercept - maybe Cleary’s words mattered little but maybe they got in Walkers head and shut him down. Winners are grinners!

I think their group of young players and the development pathways they have, will hold them in good stead for a while.

It’s an Eels junior area. We were never picking up much top line talent from Mounties. And we didn’t. It was a ridiculous arrangement from day one.

I dont know much about that area, never really been out there other than odd circumstances, but it's not in the PJRLD area. So the time is yours on that.

I thought Moses Liota, Liam Martin and Matt Burton were all slightly better than Nathan Cleary. But hard for them to win the Clive Churchill.

Cleary had a great kicking game all night, but a poor missed tackle on Walker and a few wrong decisions.

Liota was amazing I thought.

Reynolds, Burgess and Walker best for Rabbits.

Because Mt Pritchard is nowhere near Penrith
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Im fascinated about the Walker love

Great try, no question. Their second try he didnt do a whole lot to create anything, just caught and pass
But he blew quite a few moments and Souths didnt get many of them

also, it shouldnt go unstated, he made THE dumb play that decided the game. Sub optimal performance imo

Yes you did say that. When you said: “Nor did we last year”. It’s in the quote.

And then you’re telling me off for suggesting that Penrith wasn’t the best team last year… on the grounds that they won 17 games in a row and finished the top of the ladder.

While also saying that the Panthers are the best team this year when they didn’t finish on top of the ladder and the Storm won 19 in a row.

I’m arguing on the basis of my assessment of the teams and their performances… and taking the circumstances into account. Like the Panthers virtually playing at home all season last year. That doesn’t make me “clearly wrong”.

Your justifications are completely inconsistent.
