Was hearing today that the Raiders NSW Cup team were on the bus this morning, and left Raiders HQ... only to be told to turn the bus around at the first roundabout. The Dragons and NSWRL clearly should have made the call on Friday to transfer both Flegg and NSW Cup to Raiders Belconnen today. The Dragons only cancelled NSW at 9:30am this morning! Not clear when the game will be played.
There was no reason why the game couldn't be played at Wollongong. Yes the conditions were terrible (although they were better between 1.40 and 3.30pm than they ended up being between 4pm and 6pm), but the ground wasn't chopped up one little bit.
I doubt the match will be played. I don't think the Raiders have a free weekend between now and the end of the season (including when first grade have a bye this week), let alone correlating to a Dragons bye. Perhaps 1 point each?

Schiller back quick from a broken collarbone!

That can't be right can it?
He only did it 3 weeks ago!
Also of note, Starling getting the run starting in reggies. He's got a bit to work on. Or is this just because Trev is still injured and we have no one else?
4th min TRY BEARS to five eighth Sandon Smith, the result of a kick ahead. The Raiders left edge defence found wanting in the lead up. Converted Adam Keighran.

Probably want Starling to play 80 for fitness reasons so resting Trev. Pretty sure they usually run with a bench hooker as well.

12th min ERROR BEARS from Matt Lodge. Raiders scrum just outside the Bears red zone. The set ends with a Frawley kick that’s easily defused by North Sydney.
15th min Raiders looked like they were over the line, but an obstruction is ruled. Good pass Schneider in the lead up. He is playing right, Frawley left.
26th min TRY RAIDERS to Michael Asomua. Trey Mooney charged down a kick, regathered and took off, but he’s pulled a hamstring by the looks. Went down like he’d been shot in the leg. He offloaded and it eventually set up the try. Brad Schneider converts from out wide.
36th min TRY BEARS to Kieran Hayman in the corner. It is off the back of a six again call in the red zone. Valemei and Asomua couldn’t shut it down. Adam Keighran misses the goal, hits the post and bounces away.

53rd min TRY RAIDERS to Michael Asomua. He took the ball ion the sideline and sped off cross field and sliced through near the posts. Brad Schneider converts. Raiders are down to two on the bench. Trey Mooney is walking with a severe limp, won’t be back.
62nd min TRY RAIDERS to Matt Frawley, he threw the dummy and a huge hole opened up. Ran straight through it. Brad Schneider converts from right in front.
8 mins to go FORCED LINE DROP OUT conceded by the Raiders. Bears got a six again call in the red zone in the lead up. Now the Raiders go for the short drop out and they’re off side.

5 mins to go Big tackle Hopoate… probably lucky not to get a shoulder charge called. Probably got enough wrapping action. The Bears player coming off, holding his head. It is Sandon Smith.
77th min TRY RAIDERS to Ata Mariota. He lunges over on the last from close to the line. Big run from CHN in the lead up. That seals it. Starting to rain a little. Brad Schneider converts.
Canberra Raiders 30
North Sydney Bears 16

On the injury front Harry Rushton heading off to hospital in an ambulance after the game with what seems certain to be a broken jaw. Trey Mooney in a moon boot post game, it appears to be an ankle injury, not a hamstring.
Definitely looked like a broken jaw when Harry came off. I thought I saw him sitting in the back of an ambulance when I was leaving the ground. Poor bloke was playing well up until it happened.
The Trey Mooney one was funny as it looked for all money like he pulled hammy trying to sprint after taking the intercept but then I too saw him in a moon boot after the game which was weird.
