Expecting to see players chop and change from half to half
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Interested to see how Semi goes tonight. If he can handle defensive structures at centre he could be a handy addition. From memory, Stick turned sisa waqa from a winger to a centre with moderate success

Brandon's moustache is also a give-away, much like Mr Burns and Mr Snrub.
Ata Mariota’s #1 fan. Bless his cotton socks.

Welcome to our coverage of tonight's NRL trial between the Canberra Raiders and Sydney Roosters at Leichhardt Oval.

Sam Williams and Matt Frawley have been ruled out of the trial, after Williams returned a positive COVID before the team bus departed for Leichhardt Oval. As Frawley was Williams room mate on the trip, he has been ruled out as a close contact. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad will start the game in the halves, with Adrian Trevilyan starting at hooker. Ata Mariota was ruled out yesterday after suffering a minor injury at training. Final team line up:

1. Xavier Savage 2. Albert Hopoate 3. Jarrod Croker (c) 4. Semi Valemei 5. James Schiller 6. Brad Schneider 14. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 8. Corey Horsburgh 22. Adrian Trevilyan 10. Emre Guler 11. Adam Elliott 12. Trey Mooney 13. Ryan Sutton

15. Sebastian Kris 16. Peter Hola 17. Corey Harawira-Naera 18. Brad Morkos 20. Harry Rushton 21. Clay Webb

Harry Rushton does not appear on the team list on NRL.com.au but he is at the ground and warming up.

Final Roosters line up:

1. Lachlan Lam 2. Thomas Carr 3. Adam Keighran 4. Jordan Swann 5. Kevin Naiqama 6. Drew Hutchison 7. Sandon Smith 10. Daniel Suluka Fifita 9. Ben Marschke 25. Tukupa Hau Tapuha 11. Naufahu Whyte 12. Siua Wong 13. Ben Thomas

14. Ethan King 15. Moala Graham-Taufa 16. Ronald Volkman 17. Xavier Va'a 18. Zac Montgomery 19. Thomas Deakin 20. Jack Mossman 22. Freddy Lussick 27. Eli Roberts 28. Terrell May

CNK in the halves was a shock. Then you look at the squad and there's really nobody else in there to cover that spot.

Love the changes. Now our 7 gets to play 7 and CNK can only benefit from being forced to ball play.

Also was keen for AT to get more time and hooker and here we are.

Ricky Stuart interview:

Sam Williams tested positive 15 minutes before we got on the bus and his room mate Matt Frawley. I've learned one thing and the players will be happy. Players will now all be getting single rooms, you can't afford to double up, with COVID. I'm just looking at giving the young players game time. Those boys are going to be called upon due to COVID. We've been training that way, giving them more intensity in their load and work.

Peter Mulholland has left us in a really healthy position. One of the best I've worked with in recruitment. We owe Peter a great debt, indebted to him for a long time.

Operation for Jarrod Croker has been successful, his load is back up, just keen to get some footy.

The Raiders have been given a tent as their change room. Seriously, a tent. The Roosters are in an actual change room.

Roosters on the field first at Leichhardt Oval. Very small crowd in attendance. Now here come the Raiders led by Jarrod Croker. Canberra are wearing their "home" strip. Kasey Badger the referee... Roosters kick off, we are underway.

4th min TRY RAIDERS to Xavier Savage. He puts the kick through, it rebounds, he regathers and he scores under the posts! Jarrod Croker converts.

Raiders 6-0
