Squad Game: Broncos 2022 roster changes and best 17
There were plenty of signs in the closing stages of 2021 that the Broncos are ready to turn a corner and with Adam Reynolds coming on board they have the ideal opportunity to return to finals action. The calming hand of the premiership-winning playmaker will ensure the Broncos’ gifted crop of youngsters get the guidance they need to emerge as real superstars of the game and give the Suncorp Stadium faithful plenty to cheer about.
Possible best 17
1. Tesi Niu, 2. Corey Oates, 3. Kotoni Staggs, 4. Herbie Farnworth, 5. Jamayne Isaako, 6. Albert Kelly, 7. Adam Reynolds, 8. Payne Haas, 9. Jake Turpin, 10. Thomas Flegler, 11. Kurt Capewell, 12. Jordan Riki, 13. Patrick Carrigan, 14. Kobe Hetherington, 15. TC Robati, 16. Corey Jensen, 17. Keenan Palasia

Obligatory **** the Broncos
Edit... I should add that I never wish injury upon anyone in rugby league, but I wouldn't complain if they copped a couple to key players.

16 players test positive as Covid-19 rocks Broncos pre-season camp

The Brisbane Broncos have finalised COVID testing ahead of the squad’s return to training this morning.
Sixteen of the 38 players due to train today have returned positive tests, as well as three staff members in the Football Department.
They are presently obeying the Queensland Government’s health and safety protocols and are isolating at home for the mandatory seven-day period.
Following isolation, they will be able to return if they have not shown symptoms for the previous 48 hours.
Once cleared, they will return to train at the Club under the NRL’s Graduated Return to Play guidelines.
All Broncos players and football staff have been double vaccinated. Brisbane Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy said, “Our main concern is the health, safety and wellbeing of our players and staff, and we are fully focused on ensuring they are looked after while isolating.
“The COVID testing measures are in place to protect our people and our program and these results show that the system is working.
“These cases have been picked up early, allowing us to deal with them promptly and effectively, and then move forward with our pre-season.
“We’ve taken a proactive approach to managing this challenge, which will have many turns over the coming season. Our goal as a club is to tackle each challenge as they arise.
“As the spread of COVID grows across the community, we will continue to work closely with our players, staff, the NRL and the Queensland Government.”

Te Maire Martin takes huge step on the road back to the NRL with Brisbane Broncos
Talented playmaker Te Maire Martin is making an exciting return to the NRL, after a bleed on the brain in April 2019 tragically cut his career short at only age 23. He spent a year and a half away from the sport, before playing games in the local league, and later in New Zealand’s National Competition.
After passing a final medical clearance, he joins the Broncos on a one-year development list contract, and has also signed with affiliate club Wynnum Manly Seagulls.

There's no way Ryan James starts at prop round 1.
As much as I hate the broncos.... there's some players there that I really like to watch. Going to be slightly more enjoyable on prime time this year.

Payne Haas requests immediate release from Broncos
Payne Haas on Wednesday night requested an immediate release from the Brisbane Broncos. The Broncos denied the request for a release from his contract, which expires at the end of 2024. Haas was at training on Thursday morning but it is unclear whether he will play against the Gold Coast Titans on Friday night.
Sources with knowledge of negotiations told the Herald the request for a release came after a breakdown in contract negotiations with Broncos powerbrokers.

Re: Brisbane Broncos 2022
We didn't do a Bradbury though, please don't call it a Bradbury!
Re: Brisbane Broncos 2022
It’s not even remotely a Bradbury. We just hung out in the back waiting for an opportunity after the Broncos shot out to an early lead, then they fell over with the finish line in sight and we skated past and got their finals spot. If only there was an apt famous sporting event in which the same thing happened that we could compare it to?The Nickman wrote: ↑September 7, 2022, 3:56 pm We didn't do a Bradbury though, please don't call it a Bradbury!
