Siosifa Talakai looking like Joey Leilua in his prime.

30-0 to the Sharks at half time.
Re: 2022 NRL Round 7: Teams and Game Day
Gotta take the victory laps when i can... Hynes as a halfback, for which i was laughed for suggesting as a Williams replacement... working out rather nicely i'd say!
Re: 2022 NRL Round 7: Teams and Game Day
I was on the Nicho Hynes bandwagon.

Re: 2022 NRL Round 7: Teams and Game Day
Yea he's playing well, looks a great buy. Moylan even more surprisingly is looking really good too this year as a half. And I quite like trindall(should be sniffing around him if he doesnt get a crack moving forward)
Talakai unstoppable. One of the most dominant displays from a centre I can remember
Re: 2022 NRL Round 7: Teams and Game Day
Half this forum, or more, was urging our club to show some interest in Hynes but what the hell do any of us know? Our coach was looking far deeper into it than us mugs.

Not as a halfback.

Cronulla surely don’t need Hynes, Moylan, Trindall, Tracey and Metcalf. They’ve gone from having too many fullbacks to too many halves.
Re: 2022 NRL Round 7: Teams and Game Day
I had a memory of wanting him as a half replacement for Williams, but looks like I was wanting him at No. 1, at least at one point, according to the following thread. It will be a memory jogger for you too.

Happy enough with my contribution to the thread.gangrenous wrote:He’s still a fair way off top dollar for a fullback. He’d be top dollar for a winger/centre but at the moment you could get away with moving him. Jack on the other hand can’t be moved from the spine at his price. That’s why the Jack -> Lock idea floating around at the moment will never happen.Bay53 wrote: Hynes plays a position we are already paying pretty close to top dollar to someone else and whilst he is injured at the moment, CNK is not looking like stopping being good value anytime soon. We already have a non-organising, big 5/8 that likes to run the ball. I can’t see Hynes being an organising half back.
I think we should all be prepared for CNK to potentially not come back as the player he was. Hard to tell, but it seemed like that injury for BJ hastened his decline and probably triggered a lot of frustration for him.

That performance from Talakai was unbelievable. I’ve never seen a more dominant first 30 minutes from a single player. So good to watch

Friday night blockbuster for Ch9. Broncos v Dogs. Worst 2 teams in the NRL for last 3 years.

Ennis just subtley running down Trent Barrett there, saying only Bennett and Cleary being able to get TPJ motivated and playing his role properly.

Yes it’s only interesting because it’s close. But certainly a display of cellar dwellers.

Re: 2022 NRL Round 7: Teams and Game Day
I thought they missed a clearly forward pass to Farnsworth in the lead up to the try. If you’re watching on Fox rewind to 13:40 to go and check it out.

Luke Brooks is such a horrible, horrible player. It's a shame for Wests they've made such a horrible decision on him because if him and his contract were gone they could make some handy moves.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.
