Roosters side won’t have Tedesco, Crichton and maybe Collins / Tupou due to SOO.

Boy, weren’t the refs and/or bunker poor in that game against the eels? Really cost us any chance of staying in the contest today

So likely the only changes will be the ones forced by Origin selections... Likely no Wighton so Schneider is in and no Papalii so CHN is back?

You sure as hell hope that we don’t waste another bench spot.

Rushton for Papa.

CHN for Schiller.

Schneider/Frawley for Jack.

It's a Ricky Stuart coached side, no matter who sits there we are wasting a bench spot :(

I have no issue running a back on the bench but Stuart is too stubborn to change his game plans. He almost did today I think by keeping Starling off until the second half (I can assume that wasn't the plan and he did it because Papalii came off early) but then Starling sort of flattened our attack a bit but he was too stubborn again to put Woolford back out there! Only reason Schiller even saw the field is Savage was taken off for a HIA, otherwise he would have ridden the pine all match as was Stuarts plan.

I do agree get Rushton in but I would have him on the bench, not starting.

At least Tupou and Tedesco won't be in the Roosters team - they are good for 2 tries against us.

I’d like to see Woolford play 60 every week with Elliot covering the other 20. They could blood Mariota with CHN to cover the backs and as another middle. That would allow Papa and Tapine a longer rest. I feel they are so good they have been a bit overused and it shows in their second stints.

Mariota is not going to be a superstar but he is quick and runs good lines, which makes him well suited to the way first grade is played.

They are saying on the Matty Johns show that Hynes got the 14. That means Wighton may be released to play against the Roosters

We need CHN to give us some strike. He's in for Schiller.

I don't trust Mooney's defence in a tight game.

Rushton on the bench for Papa, with Sutton elevated to start. He was good today.

CHN -> Schiller

At least if we are going completely one out, having CHN will provide us with some form of dynanism.

Mooney > Papalii

Debut the man. Was a gun last weekend in NSW Cup and I want to see what he has to offer. Alternatively Rushton.

Why's that? Both had solid games, Horse 146 m, Sutton 133. Sutton had his best game this year. Sutton made a line break (our only one), no missed tackles, Horse 2 missed. (Young had 7 missed and Whitehead 4).

I was peeved off with Horse's kick but he didn't hear the 6 again. He could improve his play the ball speed though - too slow today.

If I were Ricky I would rev up Horse and remind him of the nasty things the Roosters said about him after the 1st game last year

I’d be dropping Whitehead before taking the axe to the guys that are young enough to actually take us somewhere in the future.

Sutton is one-paced… not in the plans for next year and is just quietly a plodder. I’ve seen enough of Horsburgh, silly footballer and frustrating. Time to blood Mooney and Rushton

Dropped for who? Do we have some magical set of forwards we have been hiding all year or do you really think with out best forwards missing that's the best time to blood young talent so they get their arses handed to them?

I'm OK to bring in a younger kid or two for this game but we are already losing Papalii, our forwards don't need to be wrecked even more.

I'm going to post the team I think we will get, not the team I want:

1 - Rapana
2 - Cotric
3 - Timoko
4 - Kris
5 - Schiller
6 - Frawley
7 - Fogarty
8 - Horsburgh
9 - Woolford
10 - Tapine
11 - Young
12 - Whitehead
13 - Elliot

14 - Starling
15 - Sutton
16 - Mooney
17 - Savage

18 - Rushton

Assuming no injuries that's what Stuart will name...

Personally I wouldn't drop Savage but I have a feeling Stuart will, even though he had a pretty good game for us overall.

I am hoping it will be Rushton in for Papa with Sutton to start. I think Frawley will replace Jack as both a left side players who are left foot kickers. The rest of the side would stay the same, pending injury, for mine.

Ricky didn't have a game plan to inject him.

Some of his passes today were wild. And I don't like how he lets players like Whitehead go to dummy half

players outside the top 18 will return to club footy so they'll get Sualli but I expect Jack will be at least 18th man

That’s exactly the team I’d go... Rushton in for Papalii, Sutton to start and Frawley playing instead of Wighton if Wighton is actually missing (I haven’t seen the Origin teams yet).

Frawley has looked good the limited opportunities he’s got on the left this year, definitely worth another shot.

Starling is a worrying one, his impact off the bench seems to have vanished, I’m wondering if it’s a confidence thing now that young Woolford is obviously favoured for the 9 role for a longer period of the match.
