11th min PENALTY BLUES for another strip and they are going for penalty goal. The surface is very slippery, plenty of dew by the looks.

PENALTY GOAL BLUES to Nathan Cleary.

Blues 2-0

The pinnacle of our sport and this is how channel 9 treat it. Ads during gameplay? Just awful pre game and ordinary commentary team.

Why bother with a charge down?
Team who can’t get a clean kick away is given the benefit 8/10 times
Charge downs should not result in a reset tackle count

16th min Going to the bunker for a no try for Queensland. Cobbo appears to bounce the ball in grounding. He didn't bounce it, he knocked on. Dangerous kick from Cherry-Evans.

18th min TRY MAROONS to Felise Kaufusi, great pass from Kalyn Ponga to Kaufusi. Kaufusi reaches out and gets to the line. The Blues are blowing up about the pass, but it is clearly good. Back out of the hands. Valentine Holmes converts.

Maroons 6-2

NSW didn’t make hay while the sun was shining. QLD get better with Karrigan and Grant in the game.

Doesn't make it right
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

27th min TRY BLUES to Matt Burton, chasing a Cleary kick, picks it up and goes over. The Maroons' outside backs had all pushed up, so the kick is the counter play. It is off the back of a set restart. Cleary converts.

Blues 8-6

31st min TRY MAROONS to Cameron Munster! That is special! Munster to Ponga who makes the break out wide. Then he passes back inside and Munster is there! It's converted.

Maroons 12-8

35th min Maroons knock on, now the Blues. The referee rules the Blues didn't take their advantage, but that's questionable. Now two set restarts in the red zone for the Blues.

Jai Arrow now going on for an HIA. Lindsay Collins has passed his HIA.
