The first half was one of the worst we've played
The second half was one of the best we've played
Do with that what you will
Good to get the win.

Alright we won.
Let's never speak of the first half again
Let's never speak of the first half again
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Not our best win. The first half was dire. The last 20 was quite good.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

I'm happy we won but **** me that wasn't convincing... Who was captain once Whitehead went off? Jack? If so that has to be the team next week with Whitehead in reserves.

100% completions in the 2nd half.

If we take one lesson from this game it should be that Whitehead is inferior to CHN.

That's a good game for Savage too, he had to tough it out and get through a game, still found a way to impact the game despite being limited.

The learning here today is we can’t compete with Elliot Whitehead in the 17, sad as it is, Smelly is now a dead set liability to this teams hopes of cracking the 8, Enter R.Stuart

Jack being interviewed
Parker ‘We’re you going for the big plays with the 40/20 due to the game situation’
Jack ‘Nah, just kicking to the corners and got lucky’

Re: 2022 Rd 19 V Warriors: Game Day
Happy with the two competition points. Raiders win 26-14. Completions 10/16 in the first half to a completions turn around in the second half. Jack with two 40/20s (the first one looked a 30/10) got us on the front foot. Interesting that Guler and Papa and Taps were all on the field at the same time at one point. Fog looking good with his kicking game. Hoppa catching everything that came his way. What a good run on game he had. Both centers looked a threat. CHN very good. Papa and Taps always a threat. Defensively very good in the second half.
Titans next week. Hopefully we start that match fully awake.

A proper athlete. One of the most athletic players in the comp.
Re: 2022 Rd 19 V Warriors: Game Day
Hopoate was fantastic tbh. Thought he might be a yard slow for first grade but well and truly held his own.
Essentially now there's like 10 outside backs who've shown they're far superior players to Valemei. Should never ever be considered for first grade again.

Naturally talented, one of his top qualities is not letting a mistake stop him from trying something again. He can just let things go.benda wrote:Jack appears to be a great person.Postman Pat wrote: ↑July 23, 2022, 4:56 pm Jack being interviewed

Re: 2022 Rd 19 V Warriors: Game Day
Wighton and Fogarty really turned it around in the second half, fair play to them. Hopefully they can build on it from next week. Some nice touches from Starling as well.
CHN completely changes our right side attack when he's out there, though I'm sure Ricky will stick with Whitehead. I honestly believe Corey would have spent even longer on the bench had Elliot not been totally gassed.
Timoko is such a weapon when he gets early ball. It's a travesty that it only happens a couple of times a week in this team. I thought Hoppa looked really good as well, our depth in the outside backs is looking much stronger than only a year or so ago.

I hate ragging on players, but Valemei shouldn’t have played firsts again after his display in the final game last year.julian87 wrote: ↑July 23, 2022, 5:00 pm Hopoate was fantastic tbh. Thought he might be a yard slow for first grade but well and truly held his own.
