The Sea Eagles jerseys look great! I don’t often say this, but we’ll done to the Sea Eagles.

That’s an awful hit for Lindsay Collins. A head clash and a shoulder of Morgan Boyle to the head.

Now they go over.

Rooster’s 12-6

What a shocker of a bounce from the kick off for Manly. Manu scores soon after.

You would think so. Got to also be some questions (internally) about the Roosters tackling technique. Was it two retirements last year purely from head knocks and add to that Collins and Keary. That's not great.

Why is that? I’m not entirely sure building the Roosters’ points differential is the best thing.

Because **** Manly. And that's all i need right now. If we're good enough, we'll be fine. And if we're not, fine too... but right now all i want is for these manly players to fully understand their bigotry may have cost them a finals berth

OK, I understand that. I feel sorry for the players out there playing though. They’re all wearing the jersey proudly.

What’s the deal with parramatta? Whenever they get talked up in the media they turn to water. As soon as the media start bagging them from pillar to post they play like premiers.

I think there is a stat that no side that has ever had 50 put on them has won the premiership.

Parramatta had that opportunity tonight but Penrith showed why that is a stat and would not allow it.

Nathan Cleary hit with a grade three charge. Sidelined five weeks with an early guilty plea: https://www.nrl.com/news/2022/03/13/jud ... t-charges/

Grade three? It didn't look like anything malicious or deliberate, just a tackle gone wrong. Was it Sorensen up top who lost contact with the upper body? However, this is his second offence this year so I guess it's warranted and reasonably consistent.

I don't understand how JWH and NAS continue to avoid any suspension. Two of the biggest grubs in the game and constantly pushing the boundaries and getting away with fines, at worst.

I regularly critique the ref's - and I did also acknowledge this earlier in the year - but Todd Smith is currently the best ref in the game. Like I said earlier in the year I think his games have a pretty good flow to them. Sure he has an error or two, but *touch wood* not as many howlers as a few of the others.

Hand between the legs to lift him. Well past the horizontal. Head first into the ground. It's pretty cut and dry TBH. So many other ways he could have gone about it.
As for NAS and JWH I agree.

Looked like a grade 3 to me based on some of the comparisons they showed after the game last night.

5 weeks seems fair for a tackle with the increased risk of death/paraplegia.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.
