Hmmm,

I hope we run out Rapa at FB and Hoppa on the wing then. Not much speed in the back 3 trading our quickest for our slowest.

Shame Schiller is still injured. I’d go him on the wing and Raps at the back.

They are still very undermanned.

Blimey, Hoppa is very slow. CNK should have been one of the reserves !

Still take it though with Kikau out. Whitehead better not let Chris Smith run rings around him.

If there is confirmation Savage is out then we have a big problem. We need the 2 competition points.

I hope some players don't do dumb stuff and ruin the possibility of a finals birth by being suspended. Think like a professional team and play like one. 2 Competition points is more important than any get square.

I don't understand the reserves rule. Why can't we just play CNK. Seems stupid

Canberra Raiders relish added spice against 'arrogant' Penrith Panthers

Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart is baffled by a report quoting an unnamed Raiders official to the effect that the Green Machine is planning an "ambush" in their clash with an "arrogant" Panthers team on Saturday evening.

"I don't know if he's been in our team meetings, but I'm certainly not planning an ambush," the coach said. "Penrith know we're going to be tough competition, as we know Penrith will be. They're a quality football team.

If Hopoate plays fullback and not Rapana that will do me. Surely it will be Rapana.

Rapa will be fullback, Ricky always names players out of position when he has to make changes from his TLT squad.

Not really.

Penrith are a very good team.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

With a Sutton in the bunker our chances of winning do not look good.

The "unnamed official" ambush thing is clearly made up.

Anyways, I'm pretty happy if Rapa plays wing. I don't think he has the endurance to play 80 at FB these days.

It was only a week or so I asked if Hoppa could play fullback and was definitely told no. Sometimes I get so confused about whether to listen to Ricky or the GH?

Albert Hopoate can play fullback. But he's best on the wing. I won't be at all surprised if Hopoate actually lines up at fullback tomorrow. It is not clear that Rapana is a much better option.

Rapa has had plenty of FG experience at fullback. He should be there if the choice is between Hoppa and Rapa.

Manly attack amazing against Parra.
100% completion and great lines. Always looking dangerous.

Pls.. when are we going to be able to play like that? Anyone?

Rapa can fill in for a game.. just doesnt have the motor for 80m at the back.

I'm looking forward to seeing hoppa at the back. Savage is getting better but he is by no means the perfect article. I reckon hoppas size will be key against a rushing panthers defence

Hoppa is slower than Purtell

When you say a ‘lot’, do you mean like there’s a ‘lot of food on my plate’ at a fancy French restaurant where the dish is essentially a large plate containing a single scollop.

Is that a cross between a dollop and a scallop? Where does one find this tasty treat and what accompanying wine might you recommend?

Canberra Raiders prop Joe Tapine credits Instagram controversy with career best form in 2022

Joe Tapine has confirmed he and Ricky Stuart had a “straight up” conversation following that now famous Instagram post by wife Kirsten, aimed toward Stuart. He and Stuart now meet regularly over coffee or a feed to talk footy, life, whatever.

“Without it all, I wouldn’t be where I am,” Tapine says. While you wouldn’t want to have it over, it’s definitely helped with the relationship between Stick and I. Because without the conversation that followed, things would’ve bubbled on, would’ve eaten away at me.

That’s a good story, but interesting that it took a players wife to get a key player and coach talking at a level I think we would expect should just be happening. Hmm

It appears he changed things up in terms of eating plan and followed the gym plan and added more routine to life.

He certainly doesn’t skip leg day. I can’t recall a player able to keep his feet better than Tarps this year. Harder to put down than a 10 year old family pet dog!
