Horse for Sutton (Sutton has legit no PCM and is not here next year) and Rapa for Hopoate

Let’s get some consistency with the team

Hss is going to find it hard to dislodge Kris from the number 3 spot next year.. Kris is so much better playing centre, he is in outstanding form.
Also Hudson Young is absolutely killing it we just need to find another gun edge forward.

With Kris' form HSS has pretty much got to start again given how much time he's had off. Might even start the year playing reserve grade to get some games under his belt.
He's a better winger than Kris so the first out would have him coming into the side somewhere in that back 5.

I can not understand how Whitehead keeps his spot.

I understand loyalty... but this is now bordering disrespectful to players who should get a go and fans.

Whitehead simply doesnt offer anything in attack and we need the ability to score points.

Besides CHN there's sort of no one else in the squad capable of playing second row. Adam Elliott is, but moving him away from lock would be stupid.

Corey Harawira-Naera starting at very least.
Other options would be to consider moving other players around.

Therein lies the problem. At least the coaching staff seem to have finally acknowledged he can’t play 80 mins and are subbing him out after 60. We can discuss whether it should be 40 or 50 and it’s just a two-game sample but fingers crossed it’s now written into the weekly game plan

Whitehead played 53mins yesterday, CHN didn’t give Ricky many reasons to give him more minutes tbh. He was obviously fantastic last week but those defensive efforts yesterday were horrible, we need another back rower.

At least the club is clearly looking after we’ve heard they pulled an offer from Katoa when he missed the deadline.

I think Ricky will bring Rapana back in for his experience, especially against a team like the Panthers. But I think I'd rather see Schiller come back into the side. They will have to play with rookies too with the injuries they've got so it's a great opportunity imo. I'd also like to see Horsburgh on the interchange if he's fit.

Canberra Raiders to face Penrith Panthers without Nathan Cleary, Jarome Luai

The Canberra Raiders are not going to be fooled into underestimating the Penrith Panthers this week, despite the absence of their highly successful halves duo Nathan Cleary (suspension) and Jarome Luai (knee).

"Definitely it's a big opportunity but at the same time they're such a class team," winger Nick Cotric said. "They've got good back-up in [Sean] O'Sullivan for Cleary in the halves."

Panthers beat Eels in the 2nd half without their starting halves and 1 less player. Surprised the H2H odds are as close as they are because panthers are missing 1 more spine player than the Raiders

Just before the send off the Sportsbet had us as 11.5 under dogs and $4 the win. Within 5 minutes they suspended betting and are now +1.5 start. I don’t think that is enough respect for the Panthers. They still looked really good in the 2nd half against the Eels.

It looks like Fogarty and Wighton are coming together as combination, this weekend we need to get rid of CHN and play someone who will atleast have a crack in defence. His first two attempts on the weekend lead to a try and a 50 metre break , really poor stuff.

Whitehead wasn't that bad on weekend. I'll be very surprised if CHN is in the team this week as his defence again was below par to say the least.

I think we need Miss Tapine to post something asap. We are confused on what first graders look like i think.

Whitehead cant play 80m. So we pick a bench around a back rower not being able to playbfirst grade the entire game.

I think so too. Fogarty has all the elements of a good 7 id say. His short kicking game is coming good.

I like the wighton strategy of kicking early. Not just because of 40 20s... but because if we are prepared to defend strongly it works well.

I just hope our attack improves.. we dont seem to run the right lines when close to the line.

While EW is Captain he is going to start the game imo. Due to injury (Mooney/Rushton) and recruitment in 2021 we are short an edge back rower. I don't know our cap space position but other teams heading into the finals seem to be able to recruit in areas of weakness (Eg Parra and Tapau).

Parra, storms, bulldogs and Roosters have all recently been active in the market for 2022. Given our injuries it’s a shame we have not tied anything up. But that may also be an indication on our hopes for Rushton, Mooney and potentially Webb.

Canberra Raiders in 'box seat' for Penrith Panthers upset, says Luke Lewis

One Panthers legend, Luke Lewis, believes the ladder leading Penrith could be in trouble come Saturday afternoon when they meet the Canberra Raiders in Round 21.

"I like the way Jack Wighton is going, I really like how Hudson Young is playing on the edge in the back row, and Joe Tapine is, for me, the best front-rower in the game. If they can switch on and play their best football for 80 minutes they could beat the Penrith side.
