"Yeah, let's ambush them while all their best players are out!"
How about you look at ambushing them in the grand final, champ?

I'm not sure you can call it an ambush if you're telling them it's coming. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of an ambush.

Joe Tapine wasn't "caught" in the middle of a Panthers try celebration. He was dragged into it by Crichton.

Yeah Taps should EDIT.
Re: 2022 Rd 21 V Panthers: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Yeah there's no doubt the Panthers have their fair share of wankers. But then again, they are winning a hell of a lot more than we are in recent times.

This Senior Official doesn't even have the balls to own his bitchy little quotes. Piss weak and unprofessional.Finchy wrote: ↑August 4, 2022, 4:16 pm Why Raiders have been 'waiting' all year for spiteful clash with Panthers
Canberra are planning an ambush on premiers Penrith in the ACT on Saturday night, fuelled by simmering bad blood between the two clubs. The Raiders don't like the Panthers as a result of incidents on and off the field over the past two seasons.
"We don't like their attitude - plain and simple," a senior Raiders officials told me. "We have been waiting for this game and are planning an ambush. They are arrogant and we aim to bring them down a few pegs."

Meanwhile, it’s reported Jarome Luai posted an image of him and Nathan Cleary on his Instagram story, after Cleary was suspended, with the caption FEC. The Panthers reportedly adopted the mantra after they lost the 2020 Grand Final. Every is believed to be the second word of the mantra.

It is a real shame that no team has the wherewithal to stop the full strength panthers.
They are a brilliant team but an absolute wunch of bankers.
No class whatsoever.

I think they have every aspect of the game nailed down.
I hope we beat them. I just worry we dont have 20 points against their D.

Bank the Roosters in for the top 8. They look bloody good.
If we are to make finals it's gonna be at the expense of another team which would be a bit of an upset.

Re: 2022 Rd 21 V Panthers: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Roosters have Cowboys, Storm, Rabbits to come. An even money chance of them losing two of those.
We could also catch Parra, Rabbits, and Brisbane. The for and against is close enough with Brisbane, assuming they lose this and two more (which given the draw is possible)
If we win 4 I think we get there. Fingers crossed but would be out of character this year - we lose too many games we should win.

Canberra Raiders-Penrith Panthers rivalry tipped to boil over
Alan Tongue won't be surprised if tensions boil over when the Canberra Raiders host the Penrith Panthers on Saturday night. Mark Geyer hopes tensions do boil over.
"Ricky's the master," Geyer said. "I have no doubt he'll bring up the incidents from last year and this year. He'll say to his side, 'These are the guys who won the comp, if you want to win the comp, go out and beat them.' Players from both sides will be amped up for a fantastic game.

Re: 2022 Rd 21 V Panthers: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Watching that wwos replay brings back all the infuriating memories... Tapine would have absolutely **** every one of those smug ***** up. It was 7 on 1 to try stop him smashing Chrichton's head in. A complete **** team.
Just occasionally I think it's a shame Tapine has shelved his loose cannon mode in place of being one of the best players in the comp. We saw it briefly when he threw that tiny GC no. 9 last week about 3 meters in the air
