Channel 9 on a long delay tonight- the previews of the pre game entertainment were in while they were still on TV and now all the swearing is blocked out.

No way they can give it to anyone but Cleary. No way. That was pretty amazing how he took control of that game.

You don't get it wrong much, but you've fumbled this one

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

It’s like in 2015 when Milford had the CCM engraved already and Thurston went bam.

Mam was practically wearing the thing around his neck but surely Cleary has stolen it

Geez that’s a bad take.

Perhaps no rugby league team have ever had what Cleary is capable of. Not just the Raiders, pal.

Not Nickman’s only bad take this evening. Hope Skater is ok after the spray she copped earlier. Low light of a great night for me.

I disagree.

A number of key players to drag his team from 16 points down in a grand final.

We aren’t seeing that again IMO.

Yep. Would love to see all games reffed like that.

Also credit to both teams for playing clean. Very little grubbiness in the game.

They were totally gone, and he won the game from 16 points down, with 20 to go. I'm totally shook by his performance. There's been plenty of commentary about his lack of match winning ability in big games and he shut that conversation down in a sublime 20 minutes.

**** the Broncos.

Luke Garner with the best decision of his career. Leaves the wooden spoon Tigers, plugs away in reserve grade for most of the year, wins a grand final.

Yep he stayed out of the game and kept the play moving.

Thought Panthers pushed a few things and Broncos went early off the defensive line a bit, but it evened itself out. He certainly didn’t have any howlers like 2019.

Honestly, that is close to the euphoria I felt at our prelim win in 2019. That and the 2015 GF. Love watching Broncos getting their hearts broken.

Hopefully Walsh follows Milfords trajectory now and gets on the pies.

hats off man
Dont know if he got the broncos try before half time right, didnt look like on tv replays, but no one got a better veiw of it than him and otherwise, completely unnoticable. Perfect refereeing performance, the players decided the game and he might as well have not been there.

I was about to write the same thing Finchy. The Panthers tea lady did more for the team this season than Garner.

Happy to admit I was wrong about Cleary. Finally a truly dominant performance on the big stage. Deserves the accolades.

So strange being able to enjoy a Panthers victory. Not only because they beat the Broncos, but I think they matured a lot this year and didn’t behave like twats.

Leota is so underrated. No idea why JFH gets so much more praise. He’s just as damaging and has more X-factor to his game. To be there in support when Cleary made that line break was huge.
