Nah you're upset Billy.

Which part of the most tries and most line breaks conceded by a hooker in 2024 is the good football? I'm having trouble following you.

And how do I discern good vs bad play from the zero try assists or line break assists- I mean is that a strong point of Levi I should be considering? (aside from the defence that is)

I have trouble multiplying negatives by zero...
Look I’d compare his game this week to the Woolf, but I never see Wolf in televised games. I guess only the good players get to play big boy football.
Is that why another favourite of yours in Valemei is stuck in reserve grade?
Do you try to always be wrong Finchy or does it just come naturally?

Oh look, Semi has been named to play his first game of the year - after being in reserve grade all year, and only because Taulagi got injured last game. https://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/matc ... 0tLS0tLS0=

The reason driving Raiders' boom season

Sometimes captaincy can be a burden, but not for Canberra Raiders enforcer Joe Tapine. Raiders coach Ricky Stuart says Tapine's game has gone to another level since he stepped in as acting captain.

"He's worked towards our culture and standards here - he's a big driver of that - and the leaders need to be that and Joe's one of them. I think he enjoys being that leader and captain, and as much as Joe enjoys it I think the players enjoy having him there as their leader too."

It’s a shame Billy decides to carry one like an A-grade **** wit, when he could very well contribute positively to the forum.

Years of bagging the Jarrod Croker to only continuously sing the praises of Semi Valemei, who quite frankly had the most embarrassing performance of any Raider I’ve ever seen.

Man that try was special. I remember exactly where I was watching that game too!

I would love to see the Raiders get to the level where they have a rivalry like they did with the Broncos in the early 90s. That was a premiership that I think every league fan would have enjoyed in that era but sadly it never happened.

Yeah Jesus. Strange would be a very good centre but I wouldn’t move him. Weekes might work as a utility - I’d prefer him over Starling atm.

I’m not sure about Kris either but the better option would be just to find a better left centre rather than move anybody.

I’ve got Orford’s game against the Gold Coast where he orchestrated a loss out of nowhere amid the worst six-game period in any player’s career above anything Semi did.

I also think FPN would have a few contenders for the Most Embarrassing crown if we revisited his contributions to the club. The game where he gave away a penalty off the kick-off comes to mind.

And, even though I’m a fan of his, poor Edrick’s finals performance against the Storm in 2016 wasn’t great either.

Which game of Semi’s were you referring to?

I think if Weekes wants to play first grade, he should focus on wing or fullback
He has speed and skills, but bad defence, so he needs time in cup in those positions to work on things

Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart speaks about Des Hasler feud

Canberra coach Ricky Stuart has lauded Kevin Walters’ rebuild of the Broncos and addressed speculation of a feud with Gold Coast rival Des Hasler following the Titans-Raiders golden-point firestorm.

There’s not one issue between me and Des,” Stuart said. “Des and I know what happened and it’s up to the others to speculate. I can’t change that. Look, we were just two men looking after our own footy teams and that’s it.

“I’m looking after my players. I’m looking after my team. I’m looking after my club. And I’m trying to win every week. I am passionate about the result. I am passionate about the club. It’s the coaches and the guys who are involved at the coalface. For everyone else, it may be theatre and fun, but it’s not theatre for us at the coalface. I’m passionate and honest. It’s just my personality, I suppose.”

'He's frothing at the mouth': NRL greats excited by Raider's super boot

They might induce night terrors and cold sweats for fullbacks, but Ricky Stuart's frothing at the mouth when Jamal Fogarty's putting his bombs up at training.

"Having a coach like Ricky here, he's always out there on field, he's a hands-on coach," Fogarty said. "He's frothing at the mouth when you put them up at training. He's always said, 'If you're never going to practice them you're never going to do it in games, so I'd rather you shank a couple here at training and get good at it'.

Orford by 10 lengths. It’s not even close.

I remember that game against the Titans like it was yesterday. Absolutely turped. Rosehill racecourse during the day. Golden Slipper. Headed over to the Rydges hotel to watch the game after. That scrum! Sobered me up. Left. Went to bed.

The Matt Orford signing…what a time to be alive.
From memory his car got trashed in the players car park after that titans loss. It was the lowest of the low ebb. We have been belted by Newcastle and warriors at home but nothing can top that scrum sequence and capitulation in my view. Shudders :nooo

The funny thing is, if old Billy boy was around these parts back then, Orford would have been one of his favourites guaranteed, telling everyone how good he played in that game. Billy would be awarding Orford the three points while his car was getting keyed in the car park.

Which game of Semi’s were you referring to?
Orford by 10 lengths. It’s not even close.

I remember that game against the Titans like it was yesterday. Absolutely turped. Rosehill racecourse during the day. Golden Slipper. Headed over to the Rydges hotel to watch the game after. That scrum! Sobered me up. Left. Went to bed.
The funny thing is, if old Billy boy was around these parts back then, Orford would have been one of his favourites guaranteed, telling everyone how good he played in that game. Billy would be awarding Orford the three points while his car was getting keyed in the car park.
I don’t know whether to be flattered or concerned about how much I’m on your mind Finchy. Got to admit I don’t think of you too often :roflmao
That's funny because you kicked this off again today just to tell me your boy Valemei was picked in firsts this week.
Ata Mariota’s #1 fan. Bless his cotton socks.

Years of bagging the Jarrod Croker to only continuously sing the praises of Semi Valemei, who quite frankly had the most embarrassing performance of any Raider I’ve ever seen.

Yep. It sobers me up any time it crosses my mind now.

As Old School says, it was the lowest of the low ebb.
