That really was low. I do really enjoy seeing the Rabbitohs smashed.

Yeah, I don’t think Cook or Walker have much longer to go tbh. They have pretty weak middles and slow backs. Latrell is unfit…could spiral pretty quickly.

All the dinosaurs say they just need to tackle low. However... that might've worked when Blocker Roach or Glenn Lazarus trundled back in the good ole days. Today all props have footwork, a bit of late footwork on a player going low and the get their head in the way if knees, hips and their own players too.

I don't like it but i fear itll

There is a stat , something like its 3% of concussions.

If you stop the kick-off then you need to stop other areas that cause concussion.
It may only be 3% but I think it would account for a chunk of the Cat 1 concussions.

Interesting it seems to occur more towards the start of games and off the kick off rather than kick returns. I am guessing the less fatigue there is the, the faster the runs and a larger impact.

I just hope they have a proper look at it rather than just making a change.

The nfl is implementing a radical kick off change this year to deal with the high impacts of kick returns

Feels like the nrl won’t be far behind them
Kick off from half way, 12 defenders (minus kicker) line up on the 30. Ball has to go beyond the 20, and defenders can’t move until the ball is fielded

Shortens the amount of momentum both sides can get. Removes the off the back fence stuff when dudes are coming off 30 metre run ups into each other
Could potentially even extend the 7th tackle set to kick offs. Caught on the full in goal is a 7 tackle set
So the goal would be kick high and land it between 20-goal line and now it’s a 10-15 metre return

Definitely a half baked idea. Haven’t thought it through much at all
I might be cooking or just cooked
Let me know!

I believe they did yesterday. I’m not sure about next week, though.

We had 32 tries yesterday in 3 games plus the restarts . Also a few long drop outs . 1 incident.

I don't think we need to ban the kick off. They introduced the short kick off rule to help reduce the kick off. That's failed.

Maybe modify it somehow . Suli incident was caused by 3 defenders , upright , it was Sua hitting Suli that more than likely knocked his head into JWH.

I agree look at it properly , just don't knee jerk.
We know what the topic is for the week in NRL360 , kick off's and South Sydney

Gee, the Dragons score.....wow
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I didn’t know Souths played Melbourne last night.

I turned the TV on to see the Storm playing a bunch of male strippers in cartoonish Navy themed fancy dress or that The Village People stuffed up the number of members in their group and the mix of outfits.

I think the game needs to be more comfortable with alienating people who don't like heavy collisions.

Accidents happen in contact sports, bad luck. It was a head clash between two big blokes.

Stop ruining it for the audience by constantly trying to appeal to "mums".

It's nothing to do with mums, if they change the rules to avoid collision it's so they don't get their **** handed to them in a lawsuit

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

The presence of the Colonel on the left there drew enough attention from Manly to open up space down the right side. I've got him down as three try assists so far.
